Therapy Services at HealCentric
At HealCentric, we offer professional, compassionate therapy grounded in both clinical knowledge and spiritual sensitivity. Therapy sessions provide a safe, confidential space to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences, supporting healing, insight, and personal growth.
All therapy services are delivered by a qualified therapist and adhere to professional and ethical standards of care.
Our Therapeutic Approach
Our therapeutic work looks at the whole person, recognising how emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing are closely connected.
We use a person-centred approach, meaning you are at the heart of the work we do together. We take time to understand your experiences, identity, faith, and what matters most to you. By combining evidence-based therapy with your individual needs, we create a unique therapeutic approach that feels personal, supportive, and meaningful.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a trauma-informed therapy that supports the processing of distressing or overwhelming experiences. It can help reduce the emotional impact of past events, allowing clients to move forward with greater stability and resilience.
EMDR may be helpful for:
Trauma and PTSD, distressing memories, anxiety linked to past experiences, emotional triggers, complex or developmental trauma.
Islamic Integrated Therapy
Islamic integrated therapy recognises the importance of faith, spirituality, and personal values within the therapeutic process. It offers a supportive space for those who wish to explore emotional and psychological challenges in a way that feels aligned with their Islamic values.
Where appropriate and desired, the work also includes attention to the soul (nafs and qalb), allowing space for deeper reflection and inner healing. This soul work is gently integrated alongside evidence based therapeutic practice. Our approach is informed by classical Islamic frameworks drawn from scholars such as Imam al-Ghazali and Abu Zayd al-Balkhi, which complement and enrich modern therapy and counselling.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT focuses on understanding the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. It supports clients in identifying unhelpful patterns and developing healthier ways of coping, responding, and relating to themselves and others.
CBT may be helpful for:
Anxiety and stress, low mood or depression, negative thought patterns, emotional regulation, confidence and self-esteem.
